"Our mission is to have a friendly and knowledgeable staff serving the finest and freshest Hawaiian-grown coffees in an inviting, clean, and fun atmosphere," explains Paula Sussex, Kimo Bean's president. "Coffee gourmets and casual coffee drinkers, residents, and tourists, enjoy a Cup O' Kimo."

"Kona coffee is being misrepresented, in that most coffee with the Kona label is a blend," Sussex explains. "Consumers are not getting the true Kona flavor, which is truly exceptional. Our goal is to promote a genuine taste of Hawaii and produce a high quality product."

"We opened our coffee business to offer the highest quality, premium coffee produced from Hawaii's own Kona coffee beans. That's the Kimo difference." I often have customers comment, "I've had Kona coffee before and didn't like it, but Kimo Bean is the best coffee I've ever had." Not all Kona coffees are created equal.

Our Japanese guests really identify with our characters and commitment to quality. U.S., Canadian and European guests get a kick out of our fun approach to the business as well."

In addition to a clear sense of mission and commitment to the coffee industry, Kimo Bean's vision statement and company values are embodied by our staff and their dealings with customers and suppliers. Sussex adds, "I strongly believe that a clear sense of purpose and values enables a company to excel. We are a founding member of the Hawaii Coffee Association and actively participate in the Specialty Coffee Association of America. These two memberships keep us sharply in tune and give us the strength to continue as a leader in the Hawaiian coffee market."
